Victoria Grace Elliott

Victoria Grace Elliott (she/he/they) is a queer Southern comic author and illustrator. She wrote the sapphic fantasy webcomic balderdash! or, a tale of two witches before transitioning into the book publishing world. Her middle grade nonfiction food comics Yummy: A History of Desserts and Tasty: A History of Yummy Experiments (Random House Graphic) explore a love of food, history, and culture through cute sprite narrators with each title earning a Ringo! Award nomination. Their YA graphic novel debut, Please Be My Star (Scholastic Graphix), is a cheeky and heartfelt reinterpretation of Phantom of the Opera as an offbeat romance and ode to all the “weird kids” out there. Please Be My Star received starred reviews and is a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year. All of their titles have had the honor of being selected for the Texas Maverick Reading List.
