A childhood spent drawing in a corner of her father’s sculpture studio originally led Lucy to train and work as a fine art painter.

She then turned her attention to raising three children and, as many parents do, became immersed in children’s books once again. This refuelled enthusiasm for drawing, coupled with a new-found interest in storytelling led Lucy to study an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin School of Art in Cambridge which she completed in January 2017.

Her work is created using a number of elements including watercolor, pen, coloring pencil, collage, monoprinting and finally some Photoshop manipulation. She lives and works from home in Norwich, UK. Lucy Morris is the author and illustrator of May’s Brave Day and The Song for Everyone, her debut, from Bloomsbury.
